| Bericht van robotics@tudelft.nl: In the April edition of the RoboCafé, Dr. Filippo Santoni de Sio - expert in robot ethics - will introduce the aims and goals of the Foundation for Responsible Robotics (responsiblerobotics.org) and his role in it. Filippo will also talk of his collaboration with the DAVI project and the Ministry of Infrastructure for the preparation of a "White paper" on the ethics of autonomous vehicles. Much attention has been devoted in the media to alleged ethical dilemmas in programming the behaviour of future self-driving vehicles involved in fatal accidents. However, Filippo believes that the range of ethical issues to address is much broader than that. He will briefly present the challenges posed by future autonomous vehicles to: responsibility, meaningful human control, rationality and reasonableness, justice and privacy.
